1. Who We Are
CLEARFi Intelligence™ is operated by CLEARFi Labs™ ("CLEARFi", "we", "us", "our"), a company registered in the United Kingdom. This policy applies to your use of clearfilabs.com and the CLEARFi Intelligence™ platform (together, the "Service").
2. What We Collect
Information you give us directly
- Account information: your email address and password (stored encrypted) when you create an account.
- Payment information: when you subscribe to a paid tier, payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your card details — Stripe handles this directly and shares with us only your subscription status and tier.
- Portfolio and preference data: allocation models, watchlists, and platform settings you create while using the Service.
- Enterprise enquiry information: if you contact us about Enterprise access, we collect your name, work email, organisation, and any message you provide.
- Communications: if you email us or use in-platform support, we retain that correspondence.
Information we collect automatically
- Usage data: pages visited, features used, session duration, and general interaction patterns within the platform.
- Device and technical data: browser type, operating system, IP address, and approximate location derived from IP address.
- Local storage data: certain preferences (such as your persona selection, watchlist, and first-visit status) are stored in your browser's local storage rather than on our servers. This data stays on your device and is not transmitted to us.
Information we do not collect
We do not collect biometric data, government identification numbers, or precise geolocation. We do not access your cryptocurrency wallets, private keys, or execute any transactions on your behalf — CLEARFi Intelligence™ is a research and analytics platform only.
3. How We Use It
- To provide, maintain, and improve the Service, including personalising your dashboard and AI research responses.
- To process subscription payments and manage your account tier.
- To communicate with you about your account, service updates, or in response to your enquiries.
- To monitor platform performance, diagnose technical issues, and prevent abuse or fraudulent use.
- To understand aggregate usage patterns so we can prioritise product improvements. Aggregate analysis does not identify individual users.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties, and we do not use your data to train third-party AI models beyond the operation of the AI Research Analyst™ feature described below.
4. When We Share Data
We share data only with the following categories of third party, and only as necessary to operate the Service:
- Supabase (database and authentication infrastructure) — stores your account and portfolio data.
- Stripe (payment processing) — handles subscription billing; we never see or store your full card details.
- Anthropic (AI infrastructure) — powers the AI Research Analyst™ feature. Queries you submit to the AI analyst are processed via Anthropic's API under CLEARFi's account; Anthropic does not use this data to train its models under our commercial terms with them.
- Cloudflare (infrastructure and security) — provides the secure proxy layer between the platform and our AI and payment providers.
- Legal and regulatory authorities — where required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of CLEARFi, our users, or the public.
We do not share your data with data brokers, advertising networks, or any party for marketing purposes outside of CLEARFi Labs™.
5. Storage & Security
Your account and portfolio data is stored with Supabase, using row-level security so that your data is only accessible to your authenticated account. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. All connections to the platform use HTTPS encryption in transit.
While we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, no system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of information transmitted to the Service.
6. Your Rights
If you are located in the UK or EEA, you have rights under UK GDPR and the EU GDPR, including the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Receive your data in a portable format
- Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@clearfilabs.com. We will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) or your local data protection authority.
Users outside the UK/EEA are afforded the same rights as a matter of CLEARFi's policy, regardless of local law requirements.
7. Cookies
We use a limited set of cookies and local storage technologies necessary for the Service to function, including session management and authentication. See our separate Cookie Policy for full detail on what we use and how to control it.
8. Data Retention
We retain account data for as long as your account remains active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain certain records for legal, tax, or regulatory compliance purposes (typically limited to billing records, retained for up to 6 years as required by UK tax law).
9. Children's Privacy
CLEARFi Intelligence™ is not directed at, and we do not knowingly collect data from, anyone under the age of 18. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected data from a minor, we will delete it promptly.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. Material changes will be notified via email or a prominent notice on the platform. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
